For my 3 Cups Drawing, I focused on the 4 basics of composition, which make the drawing appealing to look at. The first element is orientation. I held my paper vertically because my cups were taller than they are wide. I think that spacing was the element that I struggled with the most, because although the spacing around my objects is pretty consistent, the bottle on the left seems a little distant compared to the others. Next, I looked at the height of the bases. This gave my drawing depth and made it seem as though the bottle in the middle is closest to me. Lastly, I looked at proportions and made the cups the same size relative to one another. Because the cup in the middle was shorter and wider than the other two, I made sure to portray that in my drawing. Overall, I am pretty happy with how this drawing turned out, especially for it being my first one. I think that this assignment definitely helped me to understand how to make a drawing look good.
