One Point Perspective Drawing

IMG_6492.jpg

For my one point perspective drawing, I focused on making sure that my whole drawing was in one perspective. To do this, I used a simple reference photo that was in one perspective, and then I drew a horizon line and created a vanishing point. The vanishing point is the spot on the drawing where all lines converge, which for me was in the middle of my paper. After I set my composition, I added the spheres on the walkway as a way to incorporate the six parts of light. I think that I did this effectively, as they have highlights and reflected light, which are the two that I think I struggle with the most. On the other parts of my drawing I think I did well with reaching the ends of my value scale, both light and dark. I had fun with this drawing, as I made it kind of surreal and just played around with different shapes and patterns.
